Alexia Karanikas, PhD is a subject matter expert with more than 13 years experience in health and science management consulting, with a focus on military health and fitness. She has significant experience supporting Department of Defense clients in military health initiatives through capabilities-based assessments, comprehensive literature reviews, and writing reports to congress, scientific manuscripts, etc. Dr. Karanikas has also provided support to industry and academia as both a grant writer and Chief Scientific Officer of a biotech startup. 

Dr. Karanikas holds a PhD in Cell Biology from Penn State University and a bachelors of science in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Michigan State University.
